Programs at Counseling Confidence & The Experience Studio Winter/Spring 2025 Contact: counselingconfidence@gmail.com Introduction to Focusing Psychology 2nd and 4th Wednesdays 12-1:30 pm 300 dollars, 6 weeks, 4 classes, weekly practice sessions. We explore and practice the basic ideas of Focusing: felt sensing, embodied experience, active listening, and the concept of "parts" (which helps us hold attention on unclear or uncomfortable aspects of our experiencing). This section of the course is for beginners, or anyone seeking a refresher. The emphasis is on the skills and practice of Experiential Focusing. There will be a helpful mix of experienced and novice students. From here, a student can continue on with the certification program, or join a CHANGES group, or join a part of the course cycle that appeals to them when the time comes around. Making Sense of Life! 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month 20 dollar suggested donation This is an ongoing, informal group where we practice Focusing, a very effective set of skills that supports self-awareness, success, mental health, and satisfying relationships. No experience necessary. Introduction to Buddhist Psychology online 1st Wednesday of the month 25 dollar per class, 100 for the 5 class series This is a space for anybody who is interested in learning about Buddhist psychology through direct experience and the application of basic traditional techniques and teachings. Autism Community Group in person every Saturday 12-2 pm except holiday weekends 20 dollar suggested donation An informal, vibrant social group for Adults who self-identify as on the spectrum. Group members also keep the connection on social media throughout the week. Warm, practical support for adult life offered throughout. Men's Support and Development In person, bi-weekly, 1st and 3rd Wednesdays 7-8:30 pm 30 dollars Life can get harder as we get a little older, with new complexities and the frustrations that come with them. This group offers support for the skills and connections that men bring to life. How can family, community, and intimacy improve? How can we support the older and younger men in our lives who long for a clear role in this changing world? Young Person's Social Development Group In person bi-weekly starting Thursday January 25th 6:30-7:30 pm. 40 dollars A social skills developmental group for anxious, uneasy kids who have had problems making healthy friendships last. We will be playing games, sharing stories, and doing art and music. Age 11-14. Younger kids welcome if appropriate. We will also be offering a parent support group as well as individual consults based on his observations. Creative Connections Open Studio (drop in): 1st and 3rd Wednesdays Kids age 9-11: Tuesdays 4:30-5:30 Kids age 11-14: Tuesdays 6-7 20 dollars Art that emphasizes process and creative decision making with prompts to spur original work and plenty of gentle guidance if wanted.
